Matcha Regions
At Mimatcha, we've carefully selected matcha from each of Japan's most important tea-producing regions, inviting you on a tasting journey that unveils the unique characteristics of each land. With every cup, you'll discover a different facet of Japan: the ancient tradition of Uji, the vibrancy of Kagoshima, and the purity of Shizuoka.
Every region in Japan imparts a different character to its tea leaves, shaped by the soil, climate, fog, amount of sunlight, cultivation methods, and the generational expertise of the farmers.
From Kyoto, with its deep roots in Japanese matcha, to Kagoshima, with its volcanic soil and warm climate, and finally to Shizuoka, at the foothills of Mount Fuji, each region possesses a unique character that is reflected in the color, texture, aroma, and layers of taste.
At Mimatcha, we select matcha from various regions to offer you a broader and more authentic experience: each cup carries the essence of the land it came from and the craftsmanship of the people who made it.
